Insurance Replacement Rentals

All insurance policies are not the same.  Coverages and deductibles vary.  Regardless of fault, your insurance company will usually handle your collision claim.  If the accident is determined to be the fault of the other driver, their insurance must reimburse you for your loss - and that includes substitute transportation whether you have that provision on your insurance policy or not.  

Your insurance company may provide a list of recommended body shops in your area.  These are body shops that work closely with the insurance company and their appraisers and also direct bill the insurance company.  You are only responsible for your deductible provided no other work other than that damaged in the accident was completed at your request.  You can choose whatever body shop you want, but the body shop and your insurance company may or may not offer direct billing privileges.  

It's the same with car rentals. Insurance companies typically will push you towards one rental company in your area. If your insurance company indicates that they will only work with one rental company or one body shop, don't be fooled - you can choose whatever company you want.  Insist upon your rights.  If you choose us, we'll contact them for billing approvals.  Don't worry, we've been doing this for over forty years!
